Bob lost the most weight of any participant in the Healthy Vessels classes (11 weeks). He lost 47.8 pounds in the Healthy Vessels program and now has much more energy. He has experienced a decrease in the swelling of his legs and he is sleeping better. He can walk 3 times longer than when he first began the program. Bob learned what he should eat and he has developed a desire for healthier foods. Before beginning the Healthy Vessels program, Bob had been in the hospital twice with congestive heart failure and sleep apnea.
Carolyn lost 22.9 pounds during her Healthy Vessels program. She experienced an increase in energy and feels better. She plans to continue with her new habits while working toward her goal weight.
Sam was faced with the prospect of taking prescription drugs for a reading of high cholesterol. Sam was able to lower his cholesterol significantly and avoided the need for cholesterol medications.
Both Eric and Lisa worked successfully in reducing body weight. Eric lost 29.0 pounds and 15.3% of his initial body weight. Lisa lost 15.4 pounds and over 10% of her initial body weight.
Ben was able to lose 32.8 pounds and 14.9% of his body weight during his Healthy Vessels program.
Chad was able to lose 32.4 pounds and 13.5% of his initial body weight during his Healthy Vessels program. Chad has much more energy and now has a desire to get things done rather than sitting on the couch. He has been able to avoid usual colds and sinus infections that he has experienced in the past. He has also been able to stop taking allergy medications. He no longer snores in the evening and has the comfort of knowing that his new eating habits are going to support good health.
Dave was able to lose 22.4 pounds and 10.6% of his initial body weight. This loss of unhealthy weight has lowered his blood pressure into a healthy range.
